Global Banking Design

I joined this organization, formerly the Commercial Banking Design Team, as an Associate Researcher in Oct 2021. Since joining, I experienced a few organizational and management shifts and was also promoted to a Senior Researcher in Feb 2023.

This overview details my experience within this dynamic environment.

Keeping the client at the center

We support several types of clients—ranging from small mom-and-pop businesses and startups to large corporate entities—to deliver comprehensive, tailored financial solutions regardless of their size or stage of growth.

Design Initiatives

Our design team supports two core initiatives focused on enhancing digital service delivery.

1. Optimized Internal Sales Tools

Enabling bankers with innovative sales tools, data, insights, and partnerships to service clients.

2. Excellent Client Digital Experiences

Providing business clients with comprehensive, secure, and seamless digital experiences to manage their finances.

1. Foundational Project: New Banker Persona

Objective

Lead end-to-end foundational research for one new banker LOB segment to align Tech & Product teams on user pain points and needs.

Outcomes

  1. A new persona
  2. Detailed findings on readiness of internal sales tool for new banker segment
  3. Influenced product roadmap with detailed findings on tool readiness and specific, prioritized recommendations used by Data and Product teams to optimize the banker experience.

2. Strategic Discovery: Passwordless Digital Banking

Objective

Lead end-to-end foundational research to guide Design & Product on a critical user experience (login and authentication).

Outcomes

  1. Detailed findings on client needs and mental models related to security and access.
  2. Initial concepts for passwordless login and verification prioritized for future exploration by Design and Product teams.
